Developing Your Psychodrama Practice

Developing Your Psychodrama Practice – March 2024

A weekend psychodrama training workshop run by Cher Williscroft

Whether you are an advanced trainee or a beginner to the Psychodramatic method, you will build your abilities and your experience and practice of the psychodrama method so you can apply your learning in your chosen profession, work, in your community, in your relationships and in play.  This will be achieved through teaching, demonstrations, coaching, practice, and supervised experiential learning of group development and psychodrama, sociodrama, sociometry, role training.  The group is structured to meet the needs of the different levels of experience of participants.

What you’ll experience

Beginner trainees will dip their toes in the water of psychodrama learning through experiencing the method and connecting their experience to the theories of personality development that underpin Psychodrama.

Intermediate and Advanced trainees will identify specific areas noted in their Training Plan and in the Training and Standard Manual that they wish to hone and display in their practice, bringing forward examples of how they are applying the method for discovery and for experimenting with fresh approaches.

  • Professional Development: Learn through supervised experiential learning about the complete range of psychodrama methods and their application
  • Group Leadership: Gain confidence to lead groups and participate in a way that builds each person’s ability to be creative and spontaneous in their lives
  • Dramatic Enactments: Gain hands-on experience in producing compelling dramatic enactments. Participants learn at their current level of development through practicing leadership and directing, taking up auxiliary roles, becoming protagonists and participate in group interactions.
  • Building Connections: Cultivate meaningful relationships with fellow participants.
  • Personal Growth: Dive into transformative personal work of self-discovery and self-awareness to navigate your life’s challenges.
